Biographical

After beginning her career in a New York City law firm, Ms. Weyher returned to North Carolina in 1979 to join the firm of Young, Moore, Henderson & Alvis, P.A. in Raleigh. In 1983, she became one of the founding partners of Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P. and practiced primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and professional liability.   She now limits her practice to mediation and arbitration through her own ADR business, Weyher ADR, LLC. She is admitted to practice in both North Carolina and New York.

Ms. Weyher is an arbitrator (AAA National Roster) and a certified Superior Court mediator and has arbitrated / mediated cases involving commercial , consumer and multiparty claims (including disputes involving breach of contract, trademark, franchise agreements, trade secrets, consumer lending, real property, partnership and shareholder disputes,  bailment, fraud, and unfair trade practices), products liability claims, insurance coverage and regulatory matters, employment claims, medical and legal malpractice claims, and general liability/auto liability claims, including those involving death and catastrophic injury.

Ms. Weyher has substantial involvement in local and state bar organizations. She is a past President of the North Carolina State Bar. Previously, she served as a Councilor on the North Carolina State Bar from 1998 through 2006. She chaired the Grievance Committee, Ethics Committee, and the Authorized Practice of Law Committee and also served on the Executive Committee, Issues Committee, and Publications Committee. Ms. Weyher served as Chair of both the Litigation Section (2005-2006) and the Dispute Resolution Section (2018-2019) of the North Carolina Bar Association. She is a past President of the Wake County Bar Association.
