Biographical

Upon graduation from law school, Boyd began practicing labor and employment law in the Birmingham, Alabama office of the law firm of Cabaniss, Johnston, Gardner, Dumas & O'Neal.. He moved his practice to the firm's Mobile, Alabama office in 1983. From 1983 to early 2021 he engaged in a general civil litigation practice. Mr. Miller now has a practice devoted exclusively to providing alternative dispute resolution services, including mediation and arbitration services. He has served as a trial level mediator and appellate level mediator in over two thousand cases involving a variety of disputes, including personal injury claims, employment issues, workers' compensation matters, and commercial disputes.

Education

Boyd Miller was born in Mobile, Alabama. He attended law school at the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1979. While attending law school, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Alabama Law Review.

Rates Information

$175 an hour for workers' compensation matters; $250 an hour for personal injury, employment, and commercial matters; $350 an hour for complex multi-party litigation.
