Biographical
Hon. Clifford L. Meacham (Ret.) is a retired Cook County judge with substantial complex case management experience. He has settled or adjudicated numerous significant cases and handled all manner of construction and real estate cases. More recently, he has been Supervising Judge of the Mechanics Lien/Mortgage Foreclosure Section of the Chancery Division, and has overseen the expansion of the Section to deal with the challenge of 44,000 new mortgage foreclosure filings per year.
Judge Meacham has extensive experience in a wide range of areas involving all phases of construction (and construction litigation); mortgage foreclosure litigation (including appointment and oversight of Receivers); Bankruptcy, especially Chapter 11 reorganizations and Employment law. He has also been appointed as the Shakman Compliance Administrator for the Sheriff of Cook County and the Assessor of Cook County in ongoing federal court proceedings.
