Adam L. Powers

Adam Powers is an attorney and mediator whose broad legal practice compliments his work as a mediator. He understands the drawbacks of litigating in court, and in his role as a mediator he works to provide an alternative to litigation that efficiently addresses the particular concerns and goals of the parties in each case. His legal practice includes personal injury and other civil litigation, as well as real estate and land use cases, and that experience is invaluable in resolving disputes that arise in those areas. Adam is a contract mediator for the Vermont Agency of Education, providing dispute resolution for special education cases around the State, as well as with the Civil Rights Unit of the Vermont Attorney General's office, mediating a variety of cases relating to employment discrimination or retaliation.

Adam has been effectively mediating by zoom since the early days of the pandemic.

Adam works as an unbiased neutral to help his clients reach agreements that allow them to efficiently put disputes behind them and resume rich, productive, and fulfilling lives.
