Biographical
With 27 years of state and federal litigation and dispute resolution experience, Amy Coopman is skilled at helping parties build bridges to resolve disputes.
Amy is a mediator who instills immediate trust and confidence in the mediation process. She can assist parties in mediating a wide variety of civil disputes, individual, class and qui tam actions.
Amy has a track record of national leadership on employment law issues, and she developed a wide range of experience on the insurance and defense side of business and personal injury matters while working for 15 years at a prominent Kansas City law firm representing individuals, businesses and insurance companies in complex litigation throughout the United States. Amy’s background also makes her well-suited to mediate challenging education and nonprofit philanthropy disputes.
“Understanding both sides” is a skill that Amy applies throughout the mediation process. She has an innate ability to get to the heart of a dispute. Amy accurately reads body language and tone, uses various tools to manage difficult emotions, knows how to listen well, asks the right questions, and always works toward keeping the process productive and professional.

Rates Information
$360/hour
*The hourly rate includes all time spent by the mediator, including preparation time, telephone time, and attendance at the mediation session. Please contact Amy regarding travel-related expenses.
