Biographical

Brandon S. Diamond, PhD, is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit and County Court Mediator, also trained in Texas, who mediates civil disputes throughout both states, in person and by videoconference. His practice includes personal injury and liability, first-party property, business and contract, employment, condominium and homeowners association, and school matters, as well as technology and intellectual property disputes, including those arising from artificial intelligence. He does not handle family law. He takes cases through the Salmon & Dulberg Dispute Resolution panel.

Before mediating full time, Dr. Diamond spent nineteen years in education as a biology teacher, a visiting assistant professor of biology at the University of Miami, and later a director of academics and interim high school principal. Because he taught anatomy and physiology at the high school and college levels, he can read a medical record and follow a treating physician's reasoning rather than relying on someone else's summary. His years spent helping parents, faculty, and boards who disagreed to hear each other are the core of how he runs a mediation.

He teaches two continuing legal education programs approved for credit in Florida and Texas: Winning the Mediation Game, on mediation strategy and ethics, and Human Anatomy for Attorneys, which gives attorneys a working understanding of the anatomy behind the medical records in their cases.

Dr. Diamond believes that whether a mediation ends in a settlement or an impasse, the parties should leave feeling heard and understood. He also works to make the attorneys look good in front of their clients, because clients should see their counsel doing everything possible to reach the best resolution.
