Biographical
Felicia T. Farber is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey. She is a full-time mediator and arbitrator who has devoted her practice to Alternative Dispute Resolution. Since 2003, she has served as mediator in over 3000 mediations and as panelist or sole arbitrator in 150+ arbitrations, successfully resolving thousands of matters including numerous complex multi-party cases and disputes with claims in excess of $30 million. With a background in technology and litigation, Felicia has extensive experience mediating and arbitrating a wide variety of matters including Business/Commercial, Labor/Employment, Residential and Commercial Construction, Civil, Homeowners/Condo/Co-op Association, Insurance Coverage, Environmental, Fraud, Disability, Discrimination, Defamation, Consumer, Civil Rights, Social Media, Securities, Financial Services, Products Liability, Will Contests, Foreclosure, Property Damage, Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice disputes. She is also an experienced Workplace Investigator.
Ms. Farber has been appointed to the rosters of the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY) and the District of New Jersey; New Jersey Superior Court, Civil, General Equity and Probate; The American Arbitration Association’s Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators - Commercial and Consumer Panels; The CPR Institute - Employment Disputes (Northeast), Mass Claims Employment, Environmental, and New York City ADR Panels; and FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, formerly NASD), among others. She is a member in both the NY and NJ Chapters of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and previously served as a mediator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ms. Farber is the recipient of the 2019 James B. Boskey ADR Practitioner of the Year Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) and was awarded the Accredited Professional Mediator designation in Business and Commercial Disputes by the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM). She also holds numerous leadership positions in professional organizations, currently serving on the EDNY ADR Advisory Council and the Advisory Committee on Mediator Standards of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Complementary Dispute Resolution, as well as Vice President of NJAPM, and Regional Chair of New Jersey for the ABA’s Women in Dispute Resolution. She is also past Chair and Legislative Coordinator of the NJSBA Dispute Resolution Section.
In addition to her active ADR practice, Ms. Farber is a published author, speaker and educator. She has lectured in conflict resolution, negotiation, commercial and employment matters and presented programs at New York Law School, the American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel – NJ, Montclair State University, New Jersey City University School of Business, New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), NJSBA, NJAPM and several other organizations. In addition, she has served as an ADR trainer, coach, and mentor for attorneys and judges wishing to become mediators, at advanced civil mediation trainings, continuing legal education programs, and has taught at William Paterson University.

Ms. Farber has a strong background in litigation and has conducted numerous jury trials in an array of matters including torts, premises, auto, wrongful death, medical malpractice, civil assault, and construction accidents. She also has experience handling disputes relating to products liability claims involving factory machines, housing materials, plumbing fixtures, fire prevention equipment, consumer products, DES, asbestos, and carpal tunnel syndrome, among others.
