Biographical
After graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School in 1969, Fred served as a law clerk for Associate Justice Chester Chattin of the Tennessee Supreme Court from 1969- 1970. He returned to his hometown of Milan, Tennessee, in 1970 to practice law with Jerry Flippin. His primary practice for the past 40 years has been in the area of insurance defense, although he and members of his firm have represented plaintiffs in various types of litigation. Fred has served as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 and Rule 37 General Civil Mediator since 1997 and has mediated over 700 cases. He has been a speaker and presenter at CLE seminars addressing mediation issues from both a mediator's and attorney's perspective.
Fred was licensed to practice law in Tennessee in 1969; and he is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee, the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court

Rates Information
- Case Administration and Preparation; preparing Rule 31 Report/Mediation Certification to the Court; preparation and e-filing Rule 31 Report with Administrative Office of the Courts: $50 flat fee
- Preparation Time including review of pre-mediation submissions: $220/hour
- Conducting mediation session: $250/hour

- Travel Time @ $100 per hr / Mileage to and from Mediation: $0.56 per mile
