Biographical
Greg is a partner at Barber & Bauer, LLP in Evansville, Indiana. He has extensive trial experience in both State and Federal jurisdictions. He's litigated cases on behalf of businesses, individuals, and municipalities. Greg is a certified civil mediator and routinely mediates cases involving personal injury, premises liability, trust and estate, and business and contract contests. Greg has practiced in firms ranging in size from only 4 attorneys in a single office, to over 750 in offices nationwide. His clients have ranged in size from individuals to global businesses, both on the plaintiff and defense sides of the bar. He also has broad experience at the trial and appellate levels of litigation. This wide range of experience, both in and out of the courtroom, allows him a unique perspective in getting cases successfully resolved through mediation.
Greg’s view on dispute resolution is that many legal disputes begin and end with communication. In his mediation practice, he believes that often times, serving as an accurate and articulate translator for the disputing factions is the first step to a successfully negotiated compromise, regardless of whether the message is one of hurt, anger, disappointment, or a genuine desire for justice.
Greg was the 2024-25 President of the Evansville Bar Association (EBA), and has served on the boards of directors for the EBA, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana, and Brooks American Inns of Court. He is a Martindale Hubbell AV rated attorney, the highest rating available by that organization for both ability and ethics. Greg has also been honored as a “Super Lawyer” from 2018 through 2025.
