Since 2014, Mr. Fitzpatrick has devoted his practice entirely to mediation and arbitration of civil cases. Between the date of his admission to the Bar (1978) through 2014 he tried a large number of complex cases in both state courts (MD, DC & TN) and Federal Courts, ranging from torts to construction disputes to civil rights to business disputes. He has been AV rated with Martindale Hubbell for three decades. In addition to a very busy trial practice he also owned a custom home building company. As a result of this endeavor he has a great deal of familiarity with construction and land acquisition issues. He was also president of the Bar Association of Montgomery County MD.
