Matt's practice focuses on conducting mediations and arbitrations, after 30 years as a trial lawyer defending health care providers, other professionals and product manufacturers, and handling complex trials throughout Alaska.
He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Peterson has extensive trial experience in courts throughout Alaska and in the United States District Court for Alaska. He has handled complex appeals in both federal and state courts. Mr. Peterson has lectured on litigation issues, including case management, evaluation of threshold issues, tort law in Alaska, and legal responsibilities of health care providers.
