Biographical
Mike is an experienced Certified Civil Circuit Mediator and Federal Mediator who has mediated more than 10,000 cases since 1995, ranging from personal injury and workers' compensation disputes to complex multi-party mediations. He currently mediates more than 350 cases per year. In addition, he has served as an arbitrator in a number of personal injury and bid disputes.
Mike's effectiveness as a mediator is grounded on his extensive litigation experience, which includes multi-million dollar bid disputes. He has tried cases in all levels of trial and appellate courts, as well as appearing before the Florida Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Florida.
Mike has chaired and lectured a number of programs sponsored by the Florida Bar and other professional organizations on alternative dispute resolution. He served on the Statewide Nominating Commission for appointment of Florida Judges of Compensation Claims.
He enjoys an A/V rating assigned by the professional rating organization of Martindale-Hubbell® and has been named as one of Florida's top mediators by Florida Trend® and Super Lawyers® magazines, and recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of mediation.
Mike was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1984 after obtaining a B.S. Degree from Florida State University in 1981 and his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from Florida State University in 1984. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association.
