Biographical
Renee B. Gerstman is an attorney, arbitrator and mediator with 40 years of experience in business transactions, real estate, construction, corporate matters, contract disputes, commercial and business litigation. Renee has arbitrated and mediated all types of disputes of various complexity from small consumer matters to large and complex commercial disputes and multi- party construction defect claims. As an arbitrator she is known for her knowledge of arbitration processes, including questions of arbitrability, management of the parties and the process, and her deft handling of complex legal issues. Renee is sought out as a mediator for her analytical abilities, creative approach to finding solutions and her ability to connect with compassion to the parties.
Renee serves on the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Commercial Neutrals, Construction Panel including Rule 7 Panel, Large and Complex Panel, Merger and Acquisition Panel and Consumer Panel on which she is noted as a Master Mediator. She is also on the Arizona Association of Realtors roster of mediators, a FINRA mediator, arbitrator and chairperson and an arbitrator and mediator with New Era ADR. She has been listed as a Southwest Super Lawyer in alternative dispute resolution since 2017. Renee is a fellow-elect of the College of Commercial Arbitrators, AV rated by Martindale Hubbel and was a senior fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. She has been a member of the State Bar's Fee Arbitration Program since 1991 and chaired the Program from 2012-2014 and again from 2023-the present. She currently serves on the State Bar's Ethics Advisory Group and on the Executive Council of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Arizona State Bar. Renee is a frequent speaker on arbitration, mediation and ethics topics.

Rates Information
Hearing Rate $500.00/hr
Study Rate $500.00/hr
Travel Rate $1000.00/day
Cancellation Rate
Cancellations less than 15 days before the Final Hearing will incur a fee equivalent to one-half (50%) of the daily rate of the Arbitrator (8 hours x the applicable billing rate) for each day reserved, plus 100% of any non-refundable expenses incurred by the Arbitrator.
