Scott Maker is a former trial lawyer at Pierce Atwood who later served in a number of legal roles at Unum, including Deputy General Counsel where he had oversight over, among other areas, all of the company's litigation. He is now a principal at WoodworthMaker LLC, an alternative dispute resolution firm where his nationwide mediation practice specializes in life, health, and disability (LHD) cases. Scott has mediated cases across the country with nearly every major LHD insurance carrier and has a well-deserved reputation among members of both the defense and plaintiffs' bar as an effective and successful mediator.
