Biographical
Wendi Sorensen specializes in Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation, arbitration and settlement conferences. She has mediated to resolution countless matters, both privately in her practice and as a Judge Pro Tem. She also serves as a special master to assist in the resolution of discovery issues.
She is a State Bar Certified Specialist in Injury and Wrongful Death Law, a testament to her nearly four-decade practice in aggravated liability and damages matters including Federal Motor Carrier cases, vehicular products liability matters, construction site injury and death matters, premises liability cases, coverage and medical malpractice matters. Thus, she brings to her ADR practice extensive experience in the legal, factual and emotional disputes that arise in litigated case, and is particularly talented at bringing cases to agreeable resolutions.
Ms. Sorensen is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
She has been named one of the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Arizona by Southwest Super Lawyers nine times, and has been named a Southwest Super Lawyer every year she was eligible. Phoenix Magazine recently named her as a Top Lawyer in both Arbitration and Mediation and Insurance Law. She has also repeatedly been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Arizona’s Finest Lawyers, and as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona by Arizona Business Magazine.
Due to her extensive courtroom experience, she is also a frequent featured speaker high-level bar seminars. Ms. Sorensen brings a depth of knowledge and considerable communication skills to presentations and mediations alike.

Rates Information
Mediation/Arbitration rates for 2025 - $650.00 per hour for time spent in mediation and preparation.
Video Conference only unless otherwise noted.
Mediation Rates Effective August 15, 2025:
- 2 party matters: $325 per party per hour
- 3 party matters: $275 per party per hour
- 4 party matters, or matters involving more than 4 parties: $225 per party per hour
Arbitration Rates Effective August 15, 2025:
- $650 per hour
For out-of-state or complex mediations, please call for rates.
The mediation/arbitration fee is calculated based on the hourly billing rate as detailed above including any pre-mediation preparation time and post-mediation follow-up time spent on the matter. A “party” is generally determined by representation; ie: a case involving a claim and counterclaim would typically be considered a four-party matter.
Note: We do not charge administrative, scheduling, or rescheduling fees. In exchange, we ask that you please respect our time and the cancellation policy below.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel or reschedule, our office must be notified via email 30 days before the scheduled mediation or arbitration in order to avoid the cancellation fee. The cancellation fee for a cancellation made within the 30 day window is $2000 for a half day mediation and $3500 for a full day mediation, in addition to any charges for time actually incurred.
