Biographical
Bill Eagles, an AV preeminent lawyer (Martindale-Hubbell(R)), now limits his practice to serving as a neutral. He has mediated in the North Carolina superior court for more than 25 years where he compiled most of his experience of over 1500 cases, He has also conducted mediated settlement conferences of matters not yet in litigation, state district court cases, federal cases, and disputes before the clerk of court.
Bill has practiced law for 40 years, overwhelmingly litigating in state and federal courts at all levels, from small claims to the U.S. Supreme Court (McDonald v Smith, 1985). He has practiced in rural Arkansas and in Washington, DC, and since 1990, in Greensboro. Clients have included individuals, small businesses, and large corporations and institutions.
In late 2011, Bill opened his own office. In addition to mediation, Bill has taught as an adjunct Professor of Law at Elon Law School, taught introduction to law at UNCG over a period of 30 years (political science department), and recently taught ethics at High Point University. He has lectured and conducted workshops on dispute resolution and related topics at Wilmington College (Ohio), Guilford College, Haverford College, and in Oxford, England, for the University of Oklahoma Law School. He was the 2016 Friend (Quaker) in Residence at Earlham School of Religion (Richmond, Indiana).
His board service has included his denomination (Friends United Meeting; Friends World Committee for Consultation, section of the Americas), a college, a seminary, an affordable housing organization, a Quaker peace mission, a health insurance provider (mutual health group), a university library, and a senior living community. He served as a Stephen Minister through Greensboro Urban Ministry.

Rates Information
$250 per hour for all time involved (inquire as to travel time), two hour minimum, plus $200 administrative fee, Attorneys must agree to be responsible to the mediator for the fee. Seeking appointment of the mediator or requesting his services evidences such agreement.
